Scrapbooking & Quilting Retreat

Blackboard Junction retreat was established in February 2007 in Lidderdale, Iowa. The setting is in the Emmanuel Lutheran School built in 1923 and it has been brought back to life through scrapbooking and quilting retreats.

What do we offer?

We offer plenty of space for scrapbookers or quilters to set up shop for the weekend and enjoy the company of friends and maybe even some friends you don't  know yet. We have 27 banquet tables in our classroom so you have room to work on all your projects.

We also have sleeping accommodations for 20 people, each having their own twin bed and all the bedding is provided - including the quilts. There is a full kitchen for your use or a wonderful restaurant called the Lidderdale Country Store that is just a few blocks away. 

Our building is handicap accessible if you are unable to climb stairs. The stair lift inside can also be used to transport those heavy bags of "must haves" up to the classroom.
